guì zhī is used for patterns with

wind-cold, wind-cold-damp bi, heart and spleen yang xu, middle jiao yang xu, chong mai and ren mai xu, blood stasis from cold.

symptoms indicating the use of guì zhī

prone to catching a cold, dizziness, palpitation, shortness of breath, chest and back pain, urinary dysfunction, amenorrhea or dysmenorrhea.

with bai shao harmonizes ying and wei qi, and with fu ling leads to the uterus.
